Lagu tersebut ia garap sekaligus nyanyikan bersama penyanyi dan penulis lagu asal Amerika Serikat, Khalid.

'Beautiful People' merupakan satu dari single epik untuk album barunya yang bertajuk No. 6 Collaborations Project.

Mengutip laman hiphop-n-more.com, dalam menggarap album ini, Ed Sheeran juga berkolaborasi dengan sejumlah penyanyi lain.

Ed Sheeran membagikan klip pendek cuplikan video klip 'Beautiful People' lewat Instagram pada Kamis (27/6/2019), tiga jam sebelum rilis 'Beautiful People'.

Namun, Ed Sheeran telah merilis video lirik ofisial untuk single 'Beautiful People' di kanal YouTube resminya pada Jumat (28/6/2019).

Lagu 'Beautiful People' merupakan single ketiga dari album Ed Sheeran yang berjudul No. 6 Collaborations Project.

Single pertama bertajuk 'I Don't Care' digarap bersama Justin Bieber, sedangkan single kedua 'Cross Me' yang berkolaborasi dengan Chance the Rapper dan PnB Rock sama-sama dirilis pada Mei 2019.
