BTS Borong Piala Daesang 'MAMA 2019', Jimmy Fallon Beri Ucapan Selamat

TRIBUNNEWS.COM - Boyband Bangtan Sonyeondan alias BTS kembali mengukir sejarah di panggung musik Korea.

Pada acara penganugerahan Mnet Asia Music Awards (MAMA) 2019, BTS berhasil memborong empat piala Daesang atau grand prize.

MAMA 2019 sendiri digelar pada Rabu (4/12/2019) di Nagoya Dome, Jepang.

Dilansir dari soompi.com, BTS memenangkan kategori Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, dan Song of the Year.

Atas keberhasilannya membawa pulang piala Album of the Year melalui album bertajuk 'Map of the Soul: Persona', BTS mendapat sebuah pesan manis dari presenter kondang Amerika, Jimmy Fallon.

Pembawa acara 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' itu memberikan ucapan selamat kepada boyband yang sempat hadir sebagai bintang tamu dalam talkshownya beberapa waktu lalu.

Pesan tersebut disampaikan Jimmy Fallon melalui sebuah video yang ia unggah di akun Twitter pribadinya.

"BTS! Congrats! It’s me, it’s your friend Chimmy, Chimmy Fallon.

I just wanna say congratulations.

I’m so happy that I got to give you guys the award. MAMA! You did it! Congrats," ujar Jimmy.

Bersama unggahan video berdurasi 14 detik tersebut, Jimmy Fallon juga membubuhkan tulisan 'Congrats @BTS_twt on the #2019MAMA Album of the Year (lambang hati) -Chimmy.'

Sebelumnya BTS berhasil memborong semua piala Daesang (grand prize) Melon Music Awards 2019 yang digelar pada Sabtu (30/11/2019) di Gocheok Sky Dome, Seoul.

Terdapat empat piala daesang yang diberikan, yaitu Best Record of the Year, Best Album of the Year, Best Song of the Year, dan Best Artist of the Year.

Keberhasilan BTS menyapu bersih piala Daesang disebut sebagai sejarah dalam dunia Kpop.

Hal itu dikarenakan ini merupakan kali pertama ada sebuah grup Kpop yang berhasil memenangkan semua kategori daesang pada acara pengahargaan akhir tahun.

Selain empat piala Daesang, boyband beranggotakan RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, dan Jung Kook ini juga berhasil memenangkan lima kategori lainnya.
