OneRepublic Rilis Single Terbaru 'Rescue Me', Tandai Kembalinya Mereka di Blantika Musik

TRIBUNPALU.COM - Grup musik bergenre pop-rock asal Amerika Serikat, OneRepublic merilis single terbarunya yang berjudul Rescue Me, Jumat (17/5/2019).

Single ini menandai kembalinya grup musik yang beranggotakan Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, Zach Filkins, Drew Brown, Eddie Fisher, Tim Myers, dan Jerrod Bettis tersebut.

Lagu "Rescue Me" ditulis dan diproduseri oleh Ryan Tedder dan Brent Kuzzle.

Mengutip laman billboard.com, lagu "Rescue Me" ditulis dalam waktu yang cukup singkat.

"'Rescue Me' ditulis dengan sangat cepat, 10 menit atau kuarang dari itu, hampir semacam arus kesadaran," kata Ryan Tedder dalam sebuah rilis.

"Itu adalah aku yang memberitahu Brent, pemain bass dan cello kami, 'Aku ingin menulis sebuah lagu dengan konsep yang sudah kumulai beberapa tahun lalu (berjudul "Rescue Me")."

"Ia mulai memainkan riff gitar dan satu hal yang pertama kali keluar dari mulutku adalah bagian chorus yang seperti sekarang ini."

"Konsepnya: Dalam setiap persahabatan, ada konsep memberi dan menerima, tetapi terkadang kamu penasaran apakah cinta yang kamu beri itu nanti sama dengan cinta yang kamu dapatkan."

Sebelumnya, OneRepublic telah mengungkapkan informasi tentang rilisnya single terbaru ini bersamaan dengan sebuah klip seorang bocah laki-laki yang sedang menghadap air terjun besar melalui akun Twitter resmi, @OneRepublic.

Video klip single "Rescue Me" dibintangi oleh Cody Bingham dari seri kompetisi tari anak-anak Dancing with the Stars: Juniors.

Dalam video klip tersebut, Cody berperan sebagai seorang anak yang sedang dikejar-kejar oleh sekelompok pembully yang berjaket dan bersepeda.

Selain mempertunjukkan tarian, Cody mampu mengalahkan anak-anak pembully itu dengan kekuatan super.

Single "Rescue Me" menjadi single pertama OneRepublic sejak lagu "Connection" dirilis pada Juni 2018 lalu, mengutip laman Rolling Stone.

Sementara, Album terakhir OneRepublic keluar pada 2016 lalu dan berjudul Oh My My.
