Advisory on Coronavirus for Travelers to Indonesia

Due to the recent coronavirus outbreak in China, Indonesia expressed its concern over the impact that have affected the Chinese citizens as well as travelers in China. In this regard, Indonesia appreciates the efforts by the Chinese Government in tackling this matter and wished the Chinese government success in overcoming this medical crisis and in restoring the country back to normal. 

Towards this end, due to the recent concern regarding the Wuhan Coronavirus (2019-nCov) in Indonesia, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia would be implementing the following measures in order to minimize the risk from the Wuhan Coronavirus:

1. Direct flights to-and-from Mainland China have been temporarily suspended starting from Wednesday, 5 February 2020 at 00.00hrs.

2. All visitors arriving from Mainland China and who have been in China for 14 days will be temporarily banned from entering and transiting in Indonesia.

3. The Government will also temporarily halt the issuance of visa-free as well as visa on arrival for Chinese nationals residing in Mainland China.
